University description

Volga State University of Water Transport, being one of the oldest educational institutions (founded in 1930), is a leading transport institution in the Volga region and the largest territorial and industrial educational complex with a multi-level training and a modern complex of ship simulators. At present the university includes the head institution, four affiliations (providing both secondary profes-sional and higher professional education) in Kazan, Astrakhan, Samara, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod River College named after I. P.Kulibin, a training center, that provides retraining of water transport managers and specialists, and a few research centers.
